The Baby Reminder for Car Seats - It Saves Lives!  The Problem:  It's one of the most basic rules for any parent, babysitter or caregiver: Never leave a child alone in a vehicle for any reason, for any amount of time. Sadly, that principle is forgotten every day causing children to die needlessly.  The Solution:  The "Forget Me Not" Baby Reminder for car seats.  Simple To Use:  The Baby Reminder quickly and easily attaches to any car seat.  When the car comes to a complete stop, 5 seconds later a gentle lullaby starts playing, reminding you that your child is in the car seat.  Only $34.95!

OK - I found this post to be profoundly hyprocritical....Isn't this the NON-SHOPPING NETWORK, owned and operated by Frish, a proud member of the VHEM?

Yours truly,
Retail Maven

Dear Maven:
Once alive, all children should live long and die off.

Yes, it is unfortunate that the name of this blog is also sacreligious in other ways!

Sure, let the rug rats live out...but I'm curious as to why you put this on your blog.

First, you advocate for less "stuff" in a consumer's life by calling this blog the "non-shopping network."

Second, you've published passionate essays about the demise of the earth due to corporations manufacturing needless products which complicate our lives AS WELL AS humans who continue to procreate... further contributing to the demise of the planet....

Next, good parenting doesn't require "stuff" to remind them of a paramount obligation...

Finally, a person who does purchase the "Forget Me Not" for a child they shouldn't have had in the first place is leaving a larger ecological footprint.

Have you run out of pot? This doesn't sound like you!

Always,
RM

Dear Retail:
The post is a joke, my sister used to do an ethnic accent and cried:

"I left my baby on the bus...I left my baby on the bus..."

So, mostly I posted it for her.

Sorry for any cognitive dissonance that this obviously caused.

But, a joke explained just isn't funny...
